It'll all come down to the Villa game, last match of the season, victor stays up. Shit or Bust.

...and we'll stay up...just

Unless it's Grealish V Arthur.... * shudders *

Re: Not just us with a tough run in
its always about if we can get enough points......judging the team since our unbeaten run start of the season id say no.

Going into the bottom 3 before playing City and Liverpool away is whats done us. Confidence might be on the floor when we play Soton.....along with our GD

Thats exactly what i've been saying, I think we all expect to be in the bottom 3 come the last 5 fixtures, which are obvious opportunities to pick up points, but we really cant be more than 5 points behind the 17th placed team, catching up 5 points in just 5 games is hard enough but 7-8 points behind and its curtains.

Re: Not just us with a tough run in
Should be worried where our next points are coming from rather than where other teams might drop points... this has Moyles written all over it....

Re: Not just us with a tough run in
The problem is we are now in the bottom 3 (finally) and we still have the toughest run of fixtures over the next 6-7 weeks. The hardest challenge in a relegation battle is playing catch up, and that is very likely what we are going to have to do.

So you're saying that every club has to play every other club?

Cheers for the update

Re: Not just us with a tough run in
Love the optimism Alan but we have seen this many times in a relegation season, hoping the sides around us have an equally bad time or worse so we somehow manage to stay up, hasn't happened in my West Ham supporting lifetime.

Re: Not just us with a tough run in
they all have winnable fixtures before the run in.

our "winnable" game is southampton at home, who have a great away record and look a much better team than us.

Re: Not just us with a tough run in
We also manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory on a regular basis while those around us somehow manage to beat Man City when we usually ship 5 to them (and that is even when we're not in the s**t)

Re: Not just us with a tough run in
Ours is tougher though Alan as we have the idiot Moyes running the show
